I've never considered anywhere my true place of being which has made me good at traveling. Traveling has led me to discover a range of local cuisines and cooking has always been apart of my psyche. Combining two things that come naturally I wish to share with you.
I'm not currently traveling so am taking this time to attempt things I've discovered and revel in the memories of those adventures.
Fun facts about me:
My go to tradition while on my adventures is 'Into the Wild' by Jon Krakauer. Inifinitely powerful read.
Favorite thing to do while in a new land is go for a long walk and see what I can discover.
I've recently come to the conclusion that I love cooking, retaining recipes in every corner of my existence due to losing a cookbook in my childhood - the chocolate mousse and corn fritters I never had a chance to make and share with others spurs me to save every recipe I find in the hopes it is a long lost recipe I have seen before.
I sing loud and often while cooking and this definitely makes creating meals all that more enjoyable.
I find small things regularly throughout each day to make me smile more then those I know.
I recently finished writing my first novel entitled 'Inspiring Hope.'
I'm still an unpaid writer.
Greatest tip I've ever received: 'You won't be the same when you return, but you have to make the best out of the reality you are faced with.'
One of the greatest quotes I know is 'Keep true to dreams of thy youth' by Friedrich von Schiller. And I hold this close to my heart always because life has a way of getting in the way of this.
I've done most of my travel on my own, so please feel free to ask for any advice on this.
Lastly I'd love to hear from you so feel free to email me at Roamingtaste(at)gmail(dot)com.
